Just over two weeks after its release, FromSoftware announced in a press release that Elden Ring, their industry-shaking RPG title, has sold 12 million units worldwide.
One million of these copies were sold in Japan, while the remaining were all sold overseas.
FromSoftware’s most recent title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, sold just two million copies in a similar time frame, and their earlier title, Dark Souls 3, took four years to reach ten million copies sold.
Elden Ring continues to dominate the gaming space and currently sits as the 39th highest rated game of all time on Metacritic, with over one million concurrent players on Steam, and 900,000 viewers in its Twitch category only 24 hours after release.
