‘Rebel Wolves’, a brand new games studio, announced their founding yesterday, promising ‘quality-driven and innovative titles’. The studio, headed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director on The Witcher 3 and head of production on CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, is comprised of developers known for their work on the Witcher series and Shadow Warrior 2.
The new Rebel Wolves’ website outlines the goals of the new studio, with the main focuses being ‘to revolutionize the RPG genre’ and ‘to create a studio where developers can thrive’.
As per the announcement, the studio has begun developing a ‘AAA, story-driven RPG saga for PCs and next-gen consoles’ to be built in Unreal Engine 5. Tomaszkiewicz said in the studio’s press release, ‘We’re developing a video game we’d like to play in a way that games should be made.’
