This Aussie Kickstarter Looks to Make Your Xbox Series S Experience a Whole Lot More Portable

Growing up I was often quite envious of the portable LCD displays people would attach to their home consoles. Sure, a power supply of some kind was always needed, but the idea of passing a long car ride smashing out some Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater in the back seat always seemed too good to be true.

Enter the xScreen for Xbox Series S, a recent Kickstarter Project from the Aussie team at UPspec Gaming that looks to recapture the long forgotten curiosity audiences had for taking their home consoles on the road.

Reaching their $13,000 AUD goal within hours, the xScreen boasts an 11.6″ screen that will have a maximum output of 1080P @ 60fps. In addition to this it’s known that the device will require no additional cables beyond the standard power lead packaged with the Xbox.

It remains to be seen whether or not the xScreen will continue to draw attention as we approach the currently slated early 2022 release date. For now however I think I’m just gonna go dig out my PSone LCD screen and play some PaRappa the Rapper.
