New Life is Strange Game Coming September, Original Series Remaster Announced

Now with BRAND NEW supernatural powers!

The newest addition to the teen-centric, supernatural, narrative series, Life is Strange, was announced this morning during the Square Enix Presents live stream. Named Life is Strange: True Colours, this episodic adventure centers around Alex Chen who heads to picturesque Haven Springs for a reunion with her brother Gabe after being in the foster care system for the past eight years.

Now, as in true Life is Strange fashion, Alex holds some supernatural powers. This time around, Alex has the ability to feel and change other people’s emotions, and if strong enough, they consume her; something she’s had since childhood but has kept in check for as long as she can remember.

Developers, Deck Nine, who also developed Life is Strange: Before the Storm, have stated that True Colours will be a “bold new era” as the game will be using full motion-capture technology to bring this title to life.

Another inclusion to this edition of Life is Strange is that the full game will be out all at once, meaning we don’t have to wait weeks or even months for the next episode. Players have the chance to binge the series in one sitting or play episode-by-episode so they can have a much-needed emotional breather after each beat.

Also announced during this live stream, Square Enix is releasing the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection with the original 5 episodes of Life is Strange, and 3 episodes of Life is Strange: Before the Storm with new visuals. This collection will be available as a stand alone purchase in Spring, 2021, or as part of the Life is Strange: True Colours Ultimate Edition.

Life is Strange: True Colours will be released September 10th, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
