Project Triangle Strategy Announced; the Octopath Traveller Follow-Up We’ve Been Waiting For
I am all about how this game looks…
Announced during Thursday morning’s Nintendo Direct, Project Triangle Strategy (working title) is an HD-2D tactics title from Square Enix – unlike that of 2018’s Octopath Traveller – slated for a 2022 release.
Set in a world dealing with a conflict between three nations, war erupts over the precious resources of salt and iron, in what they call the ‘Saltiron War’. A decade later when it seems the war will erupt again, a group from one of the nations fights to unite the continent.
Tactical battles will take place on multi-level terrains where you must use the right soldier in the right position to gain an edge on your enemies.
To bring a little more RPG into it, there are also important decisions to be made throughout the story to determine your characters ‘Conviction’, which will alter who wants to follow along beside you.
Project Triangle Strategy is slated for a 2022 release on Nintendo Switch with a demo available right now from the Nintendo e-shop.
