In its latest weekly update, 343 Industries, the developer of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, has cryptically announced ‘a new place and way to play’ the classic franchise.
The tease is hidden away in the latest MCC Weekly Flighting (public and closed tests) and Development Update post, along with outlines of changes to keybindings, mouse and keyboard support for consoles and FOV slider support for all Xbox One.
Of course, tongues have been sent wagging at the possibility of Master Chief making his way to PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch. However, it is probably a much safer bet to say the games will be joining another Microsoft-published game, State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition, on the Epic Games Store rather than coming to a rival system altogether.
That being said, I will be happy to be proven wrong.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
