We Finally Got a Look at Bowser’s Fury

Just don’t ask me what it is

Shown during an early morning Mario Showcase, Nintendo finally gave us a look – albeit quick and somewhat unrevealing – at their upcoming new title, Bowser’s Fury. Upcoming, as in, a month away. Nintendo really knows how to keep us in suspense!

In this trailer, we find ourselves in a huge, open 3D space with the usual enemies, traps, and spiky things, but this time, it’s surrounded by even spikier black goo. The world seems too big to just be a usual-sized Mario level and it seems to get bigger as you clear off the goo from the boundaries.

Mario’s also being assisted by Bowser Jr. as we come up against a MASSIVE demonic-looking Bowser. Our goal seems to be a huge version of the cat bell power-up from Super Mario 3D World that transforms Mario into a King-Kong-sized kitty! Take a look for yourself.

No real word on what exactly Bowser’s Fury is going to be; it could be a whole 10-hour experience or something that will fill in 30-minutes at the end of our remastered Super Mario 3D World adventure. Either way, we’re excited and I, for one, cannot wait to become the best giant version of Mario.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury releases on Nintendo Switch on February 12th.
