Bethesda has announced a new Indiana Jones game in the works in a surprise teaser over on Twitter. The masters of nazi-killing games, MachineGames (Wolfenstein series), will develop the title, with Todd Howard joining the team as executive producer. The game will not adapt the stories told in the legendary film series, with the team instead looking to create a whole new chapter in the Indy mythos.

The announcement is light on details, with no release date or platforms confirmed, with the further release of more information possibly coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Raiders of the Lost Ark’s premiere in August.
“It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news,” Bethesda tweeted.
The yet-to-be-named Indiana Jones looks to be one of the first big games Bethesda is releasing since being acquired by Microsoft, making it highly likely that the new Indy game will be an Xbox and PC exclusive.
