What’s coming next?
In a move that doesn’t happen often with Nintendo, they’ve flexed their buying muscles and acquired Vancouver-based developers, Next Level Games, the team behind 2019’s Luigi’s Mansion 3.
Next Level Games aren’t a stranger to Nintendo, having made many titles for their consoles – both home and handheld – over the last decade, including Metroid Prime: Federation Force, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for the Nintendo 3DS, and Punch Out!!, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon for Nintendo Wii.
According to a press release from Nintendo, the acquisition should be finalised by March 1st, 2021. No word on their next title, but with that Nintendo cash, we just know it’s going to be quality!
