Gone Home and Tacoma Developers, Fullbright, Announce Open Roads

Yes, hit me with them feels, please.

Announced during The Game Awards live stream, developers of critically acclaimed indie titles such as Tacoma and Gone Home – Fullbright – have released a trailer for their new and upcoming title, Open Roads.

Mother and daughter duo, Opal and Tess, have discovered old belongings from Opal’s late mother – Tess’ grandmother – that have opened up a can of worms about her past. Together, they follow these hidden diaries to uncover the secrets that have been kept.

As stated from the game’s Steam page:

“In Open Roads, Tess and Opal embark on a road trip adventure to explore a series of long-abandoned family properties, unearthing the past. They’ll search the ruins of these places that hold buried memories, things Opal has tried for years to forget. And in this search, they’ll discover not just the truth they’ve been seeking, but each other.”

Open Roads also has some great voice talent, with Keri Russell (The Americans, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker), and Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart, Uncharted 4) playing Opal and Tess respectively.

You can expect to find Open Roads on consoles and PC sometime in 2021.
