You knew it, I knew it, we all knew it.
We all love a remaster, don’t we?
Unfortunately, this game came as no surprise after its accidental leak on Amazon in August (before it was taken down), and their Twitter teases before a countdown to the official announcement. Nevertheless, the release date was definitely a surprise! Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will be coming out November 6th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version coming November 13th.
All the DLC from the original 2010 title will be bundled in this remaster, with it, an extra 6-hours of gameplay and 30 challenges. PC users can get 4K/30fps, PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One users getting 1080p/60fps, and Nintendo Switch users getting 1080p/30fps.
It’s being made by Stellar Entertainment, with former employees from Criterion, the team behind Burnout Paradise Remastered. EA has stated we can get “higher-res models, shadows, and reflections, more objects and props, longer draw distance, boosted textures, more particles, and improved AA/SSAO” from this Remastered title.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will also have an online multiplayer mode using the Autolog social network from the original game, and including cross-play across all consoles.
Once again, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6th, and to Nintendo Switch on November 13th.
