EA Teasing Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remaster

We have the need…

EA is being cryptic, and we all love when things are cryptic.

Via Twitter, Need For Speed‘s account is teasing an upcoming announcement by posting images filled with the number 510, high-speed police pursuits, Big Joe’s Pizzeria, and, you know, fast cars. By the way, 510 is the police code for speeding cars (as well as the 5th of October).

Wait, that’s today!

This is all seemingly teasing an announcement for a remastered edition of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, originally released on November 16th, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, and mobile.

Not only are they posting these images and commentary, but if you head on over to the Need For Speed website, they’ve got a countdown for around (at the time of writing) 15-hours from now; the 5th of October for most of the world. There is also a placeholder video on YouTube for when the timer finishes up (2 AM AEDT).

Well, I guess we’ll all wait and see! But with the inclusion of EA titles on Game Pass later this year, I’m excited to burn some rubber.
