The isolation-induced ass-groove worn into your couch from watching too much TV is going to get a fair work out soon, with Netflix announcing Resident Evil Infinite Darkness, a new CG animated series debuting next year. Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi will be heading up the production of the show, and while story details are sparse, we at least know the series will feature franchise-favourites Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy.
Resident Evil Infinite Darkness is the second confirmed Resident Evil property making its way to Netflix next year, with a seperate live-action series focusing on “the Wesker kids” currently in production.
Why they don’t just make a series based on Resident Evil 4 starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as Leon Kennedy and Emily Kinney (Beth from The Walking Dead) as Ashley Graham is beyond me, but hey, Netflix won’t return my offers to direct.
