Sony Reveals Install Sizes for PS5 Launch Titles

Next-Gen File Size Hype!

In an attempt to help consumers better allocate valuable storage space, Sony has shared the install sizes for two of their upcoming PlayStation 5 launch titles via the Official PS Direct website.

Perhaps being the best indication of what we can expect from a next-gen title, Demon’s Souls Remastered clocks in at roughly 66GB of SSD space, where on the other hand, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition weighs in at a beefy 105GB. However, it’s absolutely worth being aware that this edition of Miles Morales not only includes the upcoming title but also the PS5 remaster of 2018’s Spider-Man.

With this news, we can all share a sigh of relief. As we approach the impending next-gen console release dates, concerns have arisen surrounding the limited 825GB of internal storage. With current AAA titles regularly eating up 100GB of HDD space, it was feared that we’d be seeing new consoles struggling to hold more than a handful of titles before the inevitable Sophie’s Choice between Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Godfall.
