Australian Prices and Xbox All Access Detailed for Xbox Series X and S

Xbox All Access comes out on top this time

After all the speculation on prices from the leaked US prices for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, this morning Xbox Australia announced what us Aussies can be expecting to pay to get our hands on these next-gen consoles.

If you’re looking at the smaller, digital-only next-generation console, the Xbox Series S will come to $499 AUD to purchase outright, with the hefty and much more powerful Xbox Series X coming to $749 AUD to purchase outright. Now, this is definitely higher than the outright conversions from the US prices we got the other day, but you’ve got to remember sales tax and GST and all that fun stuff.

However, there is an option for Xbox All Access, turning the purchasing of your new console into a payment plan, not unlike the phone plan you’ve probably got now. Xbox All Access is available in Australia through Telstra via a 24-month plan, and it includes Game Pass Ultimate for the entire duration. It has been confirmed the Xbox Series S will be $33 AUD per month, whereas the Xbox Series X will be $46 AUD per month

So, if you’re looking for the best deal, let’s break it down:

Xbox Series S

Outright price without Game Pass Ultimate: $499 AUD

+

Game Pass Ultimate for 2 years: $393.95 AUD

TOTAL: $892.95 AUD

WITH XBOX ALL ACCESS

24 payments of $33 AUD comes to a grand total of $792 AUD, an overall saving of $100.95 AUD.

Xbox Series X

Outright price without Game Pass Ultimate: $749 AUD

+

Game Pass Ultimate for 2 years: $393.95 AUD

TOTAL: $1,142.95 AUD

WITH XBOX ALL ACCESS

24 payments of $46 AUD comes to a grand total of $1,104 AUD an overall saving of $38.95 AUD.

So, obviously, the Xbox All Access option seems to be the one to go for, but that also comes with the paperwork…

Sometimes convenience prevails, but that’s up to you!
