Hello, yes, I wasn’t expecting to cry today…
Lovingly known as the ‘cozy management game about dying’, Spiritfarer, announced at this morning’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase that its release date is… today! Surprise!
The game should be available to download on your Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One right now, if you’re emotionally ready, of course.
Join Stella as she takes creatures not long for this world to their final destination via her handmade ship. In this management simulator, you customise your vessel to accommodate all your traveller’s needs before they sail off into the sunset.
Developer, Thunder Lotus, describes the game on their website:
Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. What will you leave behind?
– Thunder Lotus
You can purchase Spiritfarer right now for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One for $42.95AUD and on PlayStation 4 for $37.95AUD.
