Evergate is Available Now on Nintendo Switch

If you tuned into Nintendo’s Indie World showcase in the wee hours of Wednesday morning you were likely surprised by the small 4 person team at Stone Lantern when they revealed a new trailer for Evergate, a haunting meditation on a life well-lived.

Players take the perspective of Ki, a spirit lost in the afterlife on a journey heavily inspired by the Greek myth of Orpheus.

Fortunately, a fellow traveller has lit a flame within Ki, granting her the ability to interact with her past memories and gain new abilities to better traverse the underworld. This is accompanied by an incredibly eye-catching hand-drawn art style reminiscent of Moon Studios work on the Ori games.

Evergate is available now on Nintendo Switch with a PC version due in the coming weeks.
